Desire is the Spark, Consistency is the Fire
We talk to people every day in Billerica who want to change but are paralyzed by where to start. They look at elite athletes and think the gap is too wide. The truth is much simpler: Fitness starts with a decision.
Phase 1: The Desire
You have to truly want to improve your quality of life. Whether it’s to keep up with your grandkids, live without pain, or look better in the mirror—that desire is your fuel. Hold onto it.
Phase 2: The Contract of Consistency
Don’t try to change your whole life in one day. The secret is setting daily goals you KNOW you can hit. If you know you can walk for 10 minutes, do that. If you know you can do 5 pushups, do that. 100% consistency on a small goal is infinitely better than 10% consistency on a huge one.
Phase 3: The Natural Progression
If you truly have the desire, you’ll find that hitting those small goals feels good. Naturally, you’ll start pushing yourself. "Maybe I can add two more reps today." "Maybe I can walk for fifteen minutes." That is how champions are made—one rep at a time, every single day.
